The types of activities that tourists such as yourselves would find enjoyable depends on the time of the year you visit the country and the season. In the hot months of summer, adventurous activities to explore the unique nature of Sweden include hunting, hiking, visiting wildlife, nature reserves and National Parks. On the other hand, adventurous winter activities revolve around the snow and the country’s beautiful mountain regions.

For relaxing recreational activities, Sweden has some amazing Aquariums, Zoos, Safaris, Vivariums, Butterfly houses and amusement parks. An amazing butterfly house to visit is the Fjarils-och Fagelhuset in Stockholm. A picture of this is show below. For amusement parks, visit the Grona Lund, which is also located in Stockholm.

The most popular sports in Sweden include soccer (football), ice hockey, gymnastics, orienteering, riding sports, athletics and swimming. Also, those who are interested in watching some of these popular sports when they travel to Sweden, must attend some of the best annually held international sporting events. Such events include the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, which is the largest junior tournament in the world and is open for all FIFA associations.
